Hyshield Ingredients
HYSHIELD’s unique formula is derived from exoskeletons of crustaceans. Chitosan, the active ingredient in HYSHIELD, is extracted from crab shells, which are a by-product of the crab fisheries.
Chitosan as a derivate of the naturally occurring compound Chitin, when given to plants helps activate the plant’s natural defense mechanisms fighting any potential diseases, pests and pathogens.
HYSHIELD has been created with an environmentally sustainable approach in mind using crab and shrimp shells that would otherwise be discarded in landfills. Our innovative formula provides the necessary boost your plants require.
How often should I use Hyshield?FOLIAR APPLICATION: Dilute 0.12 – 0.25 oz per gallon (1 mL – 2 mL per L) of water and spray with lights turned off on foliage 3-5 times per week.
HYDROPONICS/SOIL/AND OTHER GROWING MEDIUMS: Mix 0.12 – 0.25 oz per gallon (1 mL – 2 mL per L) of water or nutrient solution. Recommended to be used with every watering or as determined by your feeding schedule. (Only use with water soluble nutrients)
DRENCH APPLICATION: Dilute 0.12 – 0.25 oz per gallon (1 mL to 2 mL per L) of water and apply directly to root zone 3-5 times per week.
